Snow removal

Although snow removal is a complement to our hot mix asphalt operations, it requires the use of 50 pieces of equipment including 10-wheel trucks with snowplows and abrasive spreaders, snow blowers with a capacity of 2,200 metric tons per hour, sidewalk plows, loaders, graders as well as semi-trailer trucks to haul away snow. Inter-Cité does snow removal operations in a large area of Quebec between Quebec City, Sept-Îles and the Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean region. As part of our ongoing efforts to increase efficiency, we have even designed new spreading systems, including one for which a patent is pending.
